How To Know If Your Are Choosing The Right Digital Agency?

 Choosing a digital agency can be extremely difficult especially when they know that their customers are coming to them because most of the time they don’t understand online ads. This makes many small companies an easy target for people who know a little but not enough. So how can you ensure you don’t get ripped off when choosing a digital agency?

 

Ask the right questions!

When you start talking to a digital agency ask them challenging questions such as:

  • How do you track conversions?
  • What work have you performed in the past? How did you bring them success?
  • What do you see as the biggest challenge is in my industry?
  • Have you worked on any project like this before? Could you give me some insight?
  • What steps will you be taking to make sure we remain competitive?
  • What is your strategy?
  • What results can we expect in the next month?
  • Will I have a dedicated point of contact?
  • How do you attribute our conversions? Will the number of conversions align with my actual number of conversions?

In terms of answers, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, instant results are very rarely possible or reproducible across industries. Be wary of any conflicts of interests, do they have a bigger client within your industry that they are more likely to prioritise putting you at a disadvantage?

Monitor their work

  • Use apps to confirm that they are doing the right things. Have they installed google tag manager and a google pixel? If not they might not be doing their job properly.
  • Are you getting better results each month and are they continually updating you on their changes? If they are not this might be a red flag, try to set up a meeting to discuss their progress and suss out the work they are doing.
